My World, My Work

Profile

Mandy is an aspiring Haitian filmmaker recently graduated from Humber College in the film and television production program wishing to gain experience in the camera and post aspect of the film industry. Mandy has worked on multiple short films and a PSA as a way to build experience. Mandy worked as a grip in a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the non-profit organization MJKO Boxing in addition to working as a Visual Effects Assistant in the fall of 2020 and early 2021 which was produced during the COVID Pandemic. This allowed Mandy to adapt to the restrictions given by the Government of Ontario and Humber College.  As a film student, Mandy has worked on multiple projects, such as short films (Todd One Out) and the documentary (Fully Involved).  Fully Involved was a short documentary about a fire fighter battling PTSD. The film was chosen at Reel Recovery Film Festival and Toronto Lift Off.

Past roles that Mandy has done include working as a 1st Assistant Camera and Music Editor for the short film called Todd One Out which is currently in its final post production run. He has also worked as a Colourist for Grapefruit and an Assistant Editor for Weekender which are both in their final post production process.

While Mandy’s specialty is as a video editor, he has worked as a grip and as a first assistant cameraman. Over the years, Mandy has learned many different editing styles and techniques both on his own and through his studies.  These edits range from visual effects to family-oriented videos to whatever the need may be!
